Busy doing nothing this Friday? Wondering what to do with the kids or just what to do with your lunchbreak? Fancy wiggling your toes in the sun? Then we've got a little something for you...

Thrive Flower Show at St Mary's Garden on Friday 23 July 2004:
-   Thrive (a national charity which uses gardening and horticulture to promote physical and mental well-being) is staging an event which is part flower show, part natural art exhibition and part excuse for us to use a thinly veiled double entendre - all put together by local groups as part of the Shoreditch Festival theme of Memories and Dreams. Not a bad place to show off your prize-winning watermelons, madam. You see, what did I tell you?

Once a year, Thrive's users get together with other similar projects to display flowers and produce that they've grown in a celebration of their work. More than just a flower show, this is a day for everyone, with music, food, massage...

The Flower Show is happening on Friday July 23rd, 11.30am - 3.00pm, at St Mary's Garden, on the corner of Pearson Street & Appleby Street, London E2. We're providing binglybongly music to help the day ease on by.

Entrance is free, so come along and sample a wheelbarrow full of good music and summer horticulturalnessness.

-   admission free. From 11am till 3pm

And if you're trying to find lots of things not to do later in the evening, come and not do them with us at...

"the good, the bad, and the bongly" at the Foundry on Friday 23 July 2004:
-   Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Erm, no its the Foundry and please take your hands off my toupé, missus. The Foundry has steadfastly dug its heels in and ignored the trend to go for chrome fixtures, leather sofas and the Shoreditch fast buck. In fact, it seems it has tried to put people off coming through its doors altogether. And because of this, it attracts a colourful but friendly mix of bohemians, musicians, curious tourists, artists, anarchists and, of course, binglybongly DJs!

We'll be conjuring up a swirling fusion of funky beats and visuals!

There's an outside bit with tables and chairs where you can chat with your friends or be moved along by a member of the local constabulary for blocking the pavement to the binglybongly beat.

-   It's free to get in, so it'd be a great shame to miss it ;-). From 7pm till 11pm (Over 18s only)

The Foundry   86 Great Eastern Street   London EC2A 3JL
Tube: Old Street (exit3)

Like to be unhappy but never do have the time? Then don't join us next Wednesday for...

"upbeat & bongly" at Zigfrid on Wednesday 28 July 2004:
-   "Its bare pipes and bricks look familiar to industrial interiors, thrown in are long red candles, rock's rich tapestry on the jukebox and, on the wall, a giant eagle reminiscent of a biker gang tattoo" says Timeout. By jiminee!

Zigfrid is a lively bar looking out on to Hoxton Square and it's our first Wednesday there. So come along and strut your funky stuff inside or sip a Campari & Lemonade on the terrace outside.

-   It's completely free to get in. From 7pm till 12pm (Over 18s only)

Zigfrid   11 Hoxton Square   London N1 6NU
Tube: Old Street (exit3)

and lastly...
